Mount Royal alumni can access many great services on campus. These services are offered at significant discounts or, in some cases, at no cost.

Framing

The Mount Royal University Alumni Association offers parchment framing on-site at Convocation. Also look for our special offer on black metal matted parchment and photo frames. The Mount Royal BookStore also carries a variety of wooden and metal matted parchment frames available in store or on-line. Proceeds from framing go to fund Mount Royal University Alumni Association operating, event planning and programming initiatives.

If you are a Mount Royal graduate,* and would like help with finding employment in your field or advancing your career, then you should check out the Career Services website for graduates.

*A graduate is defined as a person who has completed a Mount Royal University credit certificate, diploma or applied degree program.

The Conservatory

The Conservatory at Mount Royal University is Canada's largest performing arts centre of its kind in the country, boasting five choirs, nine orchestras (including a jazz orchestra) as well as theatre and speech programs. Because performance is an integral part of the experience at the Conservatory, there are plenty of events from which the public can choose. In addition, The Conservatory has a performance partnership with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. As an alumni of Mount Royal University you are entitled to special rates, which are listed in each event.

Theatre MRU
Student actors. Established playwrights. Welcoming theatre. Discover a new theatre experience with Theatre MRU.

The Department of Theatre, Speech and Music Performance provides real-world theatre training both onstage and behind the scenes. Students gain experience through practical, hands-on courses and projects. Production work is a key component of the program, and each year, students mount and perform three plays by renowned authors. Cougar Athletics

Library

Mount Royal University Recreation

Stay connected to Mount Royal by getting in shape at our world-class recreation centre. Alumni are entitled to discounted single and family memberships - check out the great prices. Membership includes access to the fitness centre, squash courts, running track, gyms, indoor climbing centre, aquatic centre and outdoor tennis courts. Mount Royal University Recreation members automatically receive the member rate for any of our recreational programs which include group fitness, dance, intramurals, sport instruction, swimming lessons, first aid, indoor climbing and many more! Body of Knowledge Lecture Series

The Body of Knowledge Lecture Series presents premier integrative health presentations for medical, health and human service professionals and individuals passionate about wellness in the Calgary area. Sponsored by Mount Royal University and presented by its Integrative Health Institute, the series assembles internationally recognized researchers, clinicians, educators, and practitioners whose work focuses on healthful living and whose perspectives and practices have global influence. MRU Alumni will receive a discounted price on tickets to the series.
