The Chapter held their AGM on Nov. 23, 2011. Thank you to past board members and welcome to returning and new board members. The participants were treated to an informative presentation on Sustainability at MRU by Terry Dowsett, Project Coordinator/Sustainable Business Practices.

Thank you to all those who supported the 29th Big Bob's Picnic in the Park held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011. The proceeds from this annual event support adults with development disabilities at MRU. The event was hosted by MRU Employee Alumni Chapter and supported by MRU, MRSSA and MRFA.

Thank you to those that attended the Chapter event Life Long Learning at Mount Royal on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, featuring representatives from different parts of the University who will share information on where to spend your training dollars. A special thank you the representatives from Romance Studies & the Faculty of Arts, Recreation, Continuing Education, and International Education.

Thank you to everyone who supported the 28th Big Bob's Picnic in the Park held on June 10, 2010!

Thanks to you, $1562 was raised to be donated to the Transitional Vocational Program. This Mount Royal University program has been providing a variety of post-secondary programs for over 29 years to adults with developmental disabilities. These proceeds were raised as a result of ticket sales, the efforts of many volunteers who assisted with this event, and the many internal and external sponsors and supporters who provided door prizes, gifts in kind or services.

A special thank you goes out to well-known Gord Gillies who generously donated his time to MC this annual event. And an extra thank you to Bob Charlton (Big Bob) who started the tradition of this picnic 28 years ago and continues to be actively involved.

Thanks to the new employees and alumni employees that attended a MRUAA Alumni Chapter "Meet and Greet" on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 . A special thanks goes out to  Lara (Hamnett) Unsworth employee alumni/ Public Relations and current Centennial Events Strategist, who provided a presentation on Building Community and Enhancing Work and Personal Relationships on Campus.

The MRUAA Employee Alumni Chapter, with the help of Bob Charlton, hosted the 27th Annual Big Bob's Picnic in the Park on Wednesday, June 10, 2009. Thank you to the sponsors, MRFA, MRSSA, MRC and Alumni Relations. A special thanks also goes out to the generous folks who donated door prizes, the entertainers, i.e. Fire Department Band and the Calgary Fiddlers and for the many volunteers who assisted in the set-up, serving and take-down. And most importantly, thanks to the 450 plus participants who supported this event. Proceeds will be donated to the TVP (Transitional Vocation Program).
