First Nations, Métis and Inuit Alumni Chapter

The First Nations, Métis and Inuit Alumni Chapter was started in November 2009 and your Chapter Board members will continue to work together to grow and develop a chapter that is attractive to all MRU First Nations, Métis and Inuit alumni. This Chapter shall also be referred to as FNMIAC (First Nations, Métis, Inuit Alumni Chapter)

Mission

  • To provide opportunities for First Nations, Métis and Inuit alumni to network and form partnerships with others in the Mount Royal University community
  • To expand relationships with current Mount Royal student community, including activities that would promote and support Aboriginal awareness and inclusion
  • To promote opportunities available to alumni at Mount Royal University for academic and professional development
  • To promote the interests and welfare of the Chapter and the Mount Royal University Alumni Association (MRUAA)

Get involved

We are looking for new members. The membership shall be open to First Nations, Métis and Inuit Alumni who attended programs at Mount Royal College/University and fit the criteria for alumni status. First Nations, Métis and Inuit people who do not meet the definition of alumni and other individuals who wish to support and promote the interests and mandate of FNMIAC may also apply for membership to the Chapter .If you would like to get involved, please complete membership form and contact Shirley Reynolds at sreynolds@mtroyal.ca or (403) 440-7047.
