Message from Tina Mercier -President

Current President, Mount Royal University — Justice Alumni Chapter

I am honored and excited to serve you as President of Mount Royal University, Justice Alumni Chapter.

My own experience while attending Mount Royal College (at the time) has taught me that attending school is not just about showing up to your program of choice every day for 4 LONG years…it is about getting involved!

It is our goal and mine personally to help you get involved and stay involved with Mount Royal Justice Alumni and students. It is not only a way to stay connected, but it is a way to serve your community and learn more about Justice related issues within the community. As a Chapter, we are committed in providing you with a means of connection to various aspects of the Justice community. The alumni serving on the Chapter board have a vast range of job and life experiences that they are able to share with students and fellow members as well as the Chapter's alumni members.

Every Fall and Spring, the Justice Alumni Chapter hosts an exciting event. Joining the Justice Alumni Chapter and attending the events is a great opportunity to:

- Network and form partnerships
- Learn and promote awareness of many components of the Justice community
- Attend guest speaker sessions from police/peace officer programs, corrections, parole, probation, lawyers, etc.

The JAC will focus much of our future effort on Chapter alumni membership recruitment and growth as well as keeping you connected and aware of current Justice Events. Chapter growth will enhance alumni friendships, and aid in student recruitment. We have lots of exciting ideas for upcoming events and would love for you to be a part of them! I encourage all alumni to fill out a membership form to become a registered member.

It is a great privilege to be able to serve you, and hope that you will stay connected and keep the MRU spirit alive for generations to come!
