Mount Royal’s Body of Knowledge presents Life over Cancer
(CALGARY — March 10, 2011) Cancer is the most prevalent condition killing Canadians today. Mount Royal University’s Integrative Health Institute is exploring this issue by presenting nationally and internationally respected health expert, Dr. Keith Block during Body of Knowledge on Thurs., March 17, 2011 in the Ross Glen Hall at 7 p.m.
Dr. Keith Block, referred to by many as the “father of integrative oncology” will be delivering his presentation, Life over Cancer: Impacting Survival and Improving Life Quality through Integrative Treatment.
Innovative cancer care combines cutting-edge conventional treatment with individualized and scientifically-based complementary and nutritional therapies. Dr. Block has distilled over thirty years of clinical experience into his first book – Life Over Cancer – that gives patients a systematic, research-based plan for developing the nutritional, physical and emotional vitality they need to meet the demands of treatment and recovery.
He co-founded with Dr. Penny Block, the Block Center for Integrative Cancer Treatment in Evanston, Illinois, the first such facility in North America, and serves as its Medical and Scientific Director.
Tickets for the event are $69 and are available by calling 403.440.7770.
