Bike Racks on Buses
All buses on Route 20 — Heritage/Northmount are equipped with bike racks, capable of transporting 2 bikes in front of the bus.
Route 20 serves MRU, so commuters can now use a combination of bus and bike to get to campus. Learn more about Calgary Transit's Bike Racks on Buses program.
Bikes are also allowed on the C-Train during off-peak hours, and bike lockers are available for rent at selected C-Train stations. Learn more about Calgary Transit's Bikes on Board program.
Transit users who buy passes that last at least a month are eligible for a non-refundable tax credit. You can claim the full amount of the transit passes for you, your spouse, your common law partner and children under 19 years of age.
The U-Pass is eligible for this tax credit. You will not need to submit any documents when filing your claim, but you should keep a proof of payment in the event the Canada Revenue Agency wishes to conduct a tax audit.
If you have been assessed a U-Pass fee, you can print off a statement showing this fee through myMRU.ca. Once you have logged in, click on "Online Services", the "Student" tab, "Pay Fees, Pay Deposits, and Account Summaries", "Account Summary by Term". It is recommended that you keep this receipt for 5 years.
