Mount Royal Kantorei
Age 22+

Mount Royal Kantorei is an 80-voice auditioned choir under the direction of Mr. David Ferguson. Formed in 1995, the Kantorei choir is well known throughout the city for its musical excellence, and plays an active role in enhancing Calgary’s music community. Photo courtesy Joan Fox.

Mount Royal’s Calgary Youth Orchestra

The Calgary Youth Orchestra is an internationally renowned youth orchestra and is the flagship ensemble of the Mount Royal University Conservatory. Members of this community-based orchestra include students of Mount Royal Conservatory's Academy Program, the University of Calgary, and junior and senior high schools from Calgary and surrounding communities. 

The CYO provides solid training in orchestral playing with professional coaching from some of the best local, national and international clinicians and conductors.

The Heebee-jeebees

The Heebee-jeebees are four Canadian guys who started a band to meet girls. This Calgary-based comic a cappella group have performed about a gazillion gigs for fans, families, corporations and charities since 1993.  They are always a hit at local and international events, conferences, festivals, competitions, parties, and exhibitions.

They have won three CARA Awards (the Grammys of a cappella), produced eight CDs (available worldwide on iTunes or out of the trunk of their van) and were honoured as the first inductees into the Canadian A Cappella Hall of Fame.

These guys are seriously serious about not taking themselves too seriously.
