Reserve a seat
There are two types of seating at a Shakespeare in the Park performance:
Festival seating means finding your own spot on the grass, bringing your own picnic (or ordering a basket from River Café or buying snacks from our Bard's Bistro) and making a pay-what-you-WILL contribution as the curtain comes down for the evening. There is no need to purchase tickets; your ticket price is your donation, $20.00 per adult is recommended. Tax receipts are provided on request for donations over $25.00.
Reserved festival seating means a reserved seat in one of our two VIP areas, with the use of a “thermo-rest” style chair for the evening. These seats are also on a first-come-first-serve basis, but only those that have reserved seats have the privilege to sit here. These advanced seats are $25.00 per person, and are not available for purchase after 2 p.m. the day before the performance. If you still wish to have reserved seating after this, they are available at the Park for a minimum of $30.00 on the night of the performance.

Treat yourself and order a River Café restaurant picnic basket to enjoy with your favourite Shakespeare performance.
'Bard Lover's Basket for Two' includes seasonal veggies and hummus, whole fresh seasonal fruit, two sandwiches of your choice on red fife ciabatta bread and a luscious cookie ($28.00). For your sandwiches, choose between an organic chicken salad sandwich with house-made bacon, apple & arugula, or a grilled Portobello mushroom sandwich with roasted vegetable and brie cheese.
Or indulge in a 'Shakespeare VIP Package for Two' which includes a wonderful 'Bard Lover's Basket for Two,' plus two reserved seats ($68.00).
This year, we are offering a delicious 'The Complete Lunchbox (Abridged)' which includes seasonal veggies and hummus, hand-rolled, house-made flax seed crackers, whole fresh seasonal fruit, and a goodie-filled cookie ($10.00).
Order online 24/7. There are two ways to purchase online:
- Check out our play schedule and decide what day you want to attend. Click on the link, which will take you to the Conservatory's Theatre Manager site.
Or:
- Click buy online, which will take you to the Conservatory’s Theatre Manager home page. Click on Online Tickets Sales. Find the listing for the basket or seat you wish to purchase on the day on which you want to attend the performance and click BUY
The rest is easy as Theatre Manager prompts you through the process of making your seat and/or basket choices. When ordering, remember that one VIP 'ticket' means you receive two reserved seats and a picnic basket that feeds two.
Please note that all orders must be placed no later than 2 p.m. the day before the performance you will be attending. If you try after the cut-off, you will receive a 'sold-out' message.
Please arrive 15-30 minutes before the performance, and we will have your basket and/or seats ready for you - no physical ticket is necessary. All purchases are non-refundable. In the case of bad weather, come down to the park the night of the performance and we will arrange an alternate date for your seats.
