Job opportunities

Assistant Stage Management - Two positions available. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work with the equity stage manager, director and partial equity cast in a professional setting. Expectations include knowledge and practical application of the rehearsal process and running of the show: blocking, props and wardrobe tracking; both giving and receiving notes with technical departments; good communication skills; pre-set checks; cueing; as well as props and wardrobe tracking and placement. 

Costume Head - One position available. Expectations include sewing and cutting skills; purchasing and alterations of pre-built costumes; fitting of costumes; and strong leadership abilities. You will be the only wardrobe crew member and be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of costumes during the run of both shows. 

Stitcher - One position available. Expectations include sewing and cutting skills. Your role will be for the build process of both shows. You will be hired to assist the costume head with day to day needs. Qualifications include ability to work on your own building and altering items. You may also be needed to assist in the props department with any stitching needs they may have. This position runs from the end of May until mid July. 

Props Head - One position available. Expectations include ability to find creative solutions to problems, good sourcing abilities, wood working skills, paper prop experience, strong leadership abilities, and good tracking skills. Painting experience an asset. You will the only props crew member during the running of both shows. You will also be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all props. Knowledge of proper weapons maintenance an asset.

Carpenter - One position available. Expectations include strong basic carpentry skills; willingness to learn new things; can read designers draftings and create working drawings from them; as well as the ability to find creative solutions to problems. You will also be required to complete your work in a timely manner and assist with maintenance on our set during load in. This position runs from the end of May until mid July. 

Assets for all positions include strong time management and communication skills; ability to produce good clean paperwork; drivers license and knowledge of driving large vehicles; WHMIS certification issued through Mount Royal University; First-Aid training; and common sense. 

All positions are paid by the week.
