Learn the truth about supplements at Mount Royal’s
Body of Knowledge

(CALGARY – Feb. 18, 2010) Always wondering what the vitamins you’re taking are doing for your health and body? Learn more about supplements and what they can do for you with integrative health expert, Tierona Low Dog, MD. Low Dog will be speaking about the truth of using supplements during a presentation at Mount Royal University on Feb. 25, 2010 at
7 p.m.

As the second of four speakers in Mount Royal’s Body of Knowledge Lecture Series, Low Dog will be delivering a lecture entitled Top Selling Supplements: The True Story. The presentation will provide further insight and information into top selling supplements and their use. Health products are used by more than half of Canadians, which makes it important to understand the use of these products in the prevention and treatment of disease, as well as safety issues associated with their use.

Low Dog has an extensive natural medicine career spanning roles as a midwife, massage therapist, herbalist and an integrative medicine physician. She currently works with Dr. Andrew Weil as the Director of the Fellowship at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. She is an internationally known speaker and recipient of TIME magazine’s Innovator in Complementary and Alternative Medicine Award.

Tickets for the event are $69 and are available by calling 403.440.7770. For more information visit bodyofknowledge.ca.
