Annual reports of standing committees

All committees are required to submit an annual report to the GFC at the May meeting. The annual reports include:

• summarized information on the number of meetings, meeting dates and the attendance records of individual Councillors
• a summary of the various activities and outcomes for the year
• a list of matters which are anticipated for consideration in the following year, where appropriate

The following Annual Reports for 2010-2011 were submitted to GFC by these committees:

• Academic Program and Policy Committee
• Appointments, Promotion and Tenure Committee
• By-laws and Striking Committee
• Executive Committee
• Learning Outcomes Standing Committee
• Library Advisory Standing Committee
• Research and Scholarship Advisory Committee
• Student Awards Committee

Annual reports of Faculty Councils

Each Faculty Council is required to present an annual report at the first GFC meeting in the Fall. The annual reports are subject to the same requirements as the annual reports of the GFC standing committees as outlined above.

GFC reports to the Board of Governors

The General Faculties Council submits regular reports to the Board of Governors at each Board meeting.
