Going deep faculty study groups

Structured around the study of a selected book, Going Deep provides semester-long opportunities for in-depth exploration of current and classical educational theories, thinkers, and practices in the higher education context. Each participant receives a complimentary copy of the book.

Previous Going Deep faculty study groups have used the following books:

    Authors: Ambrose, Bridges, DiPietro, Lovett, Norman
  • Teaching for Critical Thinking
    Author: Stephen Brookfield
  • The Courage to Teach
    Author: Parker Palmer

Interested in participating?

Going deep faculty study groups are offered in the fall and winter semesters and both full-time and part-time faculty are welcome to register. Groups typically meet 5 or 6 times over the semester for 1 to 2 hours at a time and participants must be able to attend all meetings.
