Good Talk About Good Teaching

This program is a series of conversations between colleagues exploring different aspects of the complex and important topic of teaching. One faculty member acts as the session host and initiates the discussion with a brief introduction of the topic. A cross-disciplinary conversation rich with the voices of many participants ensues. Join us for the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the demands of teaching.

Some previous topics include:

  • How do best practices differ between academic areas?
  • Tips for reflective teaching.
  • In defense of the lecture.

Interested in participating?

Good talk about good teaching is offered several times throughout the year and sessions are 1 hour in duration.. Both full-time and part-time faculty are welcome to participate. If you have an idea for an open conversation about teaching, contact Anne. Together the topic will be narrowed and an invitation will be created.
