Early Support

Information for students

University is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming and leave you with lots of questions. If you are struggling with academic or non-academic concerns, are unsure where to go for help, or if you simply just want to get connected to campus, Early Support is here for you. Refer yourself to Early Support and we will help you navigate your way through your University career, putting you in touch with support services outside of the classroom when you need them. We want to help you on your path to success. Early support will connect you to the right resources and supports as early as possible, before difficulties become too overwhelming.

If you refer yourself to Early Support you will be provided with a link in the referral form to book an appointment online with one of our Early Support team members. Simply select the timeslot that works for you and this will automatically book you in.

If a faculty or staff member refers you to Early Support you will be contacted by the Office of Student Success and invited in to meet with a member of our Early Support team. During the meeting you will be referred accordingly across campus and given detail on how you can move forward with the resources available at MRU.

Information submitted through an Early Support Referral is in no way associated with your academic record, transcript or decisions related to funding or academic progress.

If a faculty or staff member refer you to Early Support you cannot “opt out”, but you can choose whether or not you would like to accept support.
