Experience Mount Royal first hand and attend our annual Open House. This is an opportunity for your student to see what college life is really like - all in one day. You and your student are encouraged to attend our Open House which takes place every November.
The day is filled with activities, interactive faculty displays, guided tours and great prizes. Be sure to check back in the fall for exact dates and more information!
Admission Information Sessions
Is your student thinking about attending Mount Royal and wanting to learn more? Sign up for an Admission Information Sessions to help you and your student navigate the admissions process, become informed on admission requirements and gather information about available services, student life and living on campus.
These informal, one hour sessions will provide you and your student with information on:
Our recruitment officers will be able to answer you and your student’s questions regarding the admission process and anything else they might want to find out about.
To make the most of your campus visit, you may wish to combine an Admission Information Session with a campus tour.
NOTE: If your student has already been accepted to a credit program at Mount Royal, he/she does not need to register for an Admission Information Session.
Please have your student check their offer of admission package or visit the Advising website to find out about academic advising for their specific program.
Campus tours
To get an authentic feel for Mount Royal, we encourage prospective students, their parents and friends to come and visit us. A tour of Mount Royal will provide you and your student with a full orientation of all the campus facilities.

Meet with a recruitment officer
If your student has taken advantage of all that Mount Royal offers prospective students, but he/she requires further information or an admission plan, your student may want to schedule a visit with a recruitment officer.
You are welcome to attend this appointment with your student if they would like your support.

Student orientation
Our New Student Orientation program is designed to welcome new students to Mount Royal, and is intended to help make the transition as easy as possible. The more students know about Mount Royal, the easier it will be to feel settled in their new environment. From finding out places to eat on campus to taking a campus tour; whatever their concerns may be, orientation can point your student in the right direction.
Parent orientation
Our Parent Orientation gives you the chance to gather with other parents and guardians to learn more about Mount Royal and what your student might experience. During the evening, you will take an interactive tour of campus, listen to guest speakers and have your questions answered. Information service booths and refreshments will also be available.
