Kaylene McTavish, Co-President

Hello, I’m Kaylene. I’m in my second year of Public Relations this fall and this is my third year with FAN Club. I have enjoyed the leadership experience, networking possibilities and the opportunity to participate in two conferences with FAN Club. I love to be involved so you’ll also find me volunteering with the SA’s Sustainability Center or fulfilling my duties as Community Advisor for East Residence. I hope to see you around campus.

Catharine Smart, Co-President

Hi, my name is Catharine. I’m enjoying my studies in the Bachelor of Business Administration here at Mount Royal. I’m majoring in Management with a minor in Non-Profit and in my third year with FAN Club this year. I enjoy watching sports and I am a huge hockey fan. In my spare time I volunteer for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada and the Strong Kids Campaign with YMCA Calgary. I look forward to meeting and learning more about you!

Pamela Malec, Vice-President

Hi there. I’m Pamela. I'm in the BBA program and in my second year with FAN Club. There's value in building and maintaining relationships and my goal is to share my experience and encourage you, as a future alum, to make the most of building your ‘future’ network now. I'm also an advisor on the Student Library Advisory Committee, and in my spare time, I can be found relaxing with a good book or singing with my band. Looking forward to networking with you!

Hello! I’m Rebecca. This is my last year of studies in the Bachelor of Applied Computer Info Systems and Business here at MRU and my third year with FAN Club. I have always enjoyed volunteering and planning events. When I saw what FAN Club was doing for students, I wanted to become involved and help out. I also thought joining the club would help me meet other students and alumni that share similar interests. I hope to get a chance to meet you!

Shane Flug, Treasurer

I'm Shane  I'm in my third year of journalism and this is my third year with FAN Club. Joining FAN Club was sort of a happy accident: I mistook it
for a fraternity but ended up sticking around after knowing more about the
chapter's mission. I loved attending the ASAP Conference in Baltimore and
getting to know students continent-wide plus city residents. I enjoy
writing, photography, music, film, gaming, fishing and billiards.
