Cougars add Calgary Canucks defender Moir

The Mount Royal University Cougars men’s hockey team is pleased to announce the commitment of Ryan Moir for the 2010-11 season.

The Calgary native spent the past two seasons with the Calgary Canucks of the Alberta Juniour Hockey League (AJHL) registering 2 goals and 19 assists in 60 games last season with the club.

In addition to his offensive prowess, Moir is also known for his strong defensive ability as he was named the top defenseman for the Canucks at their annual awards banquet.

In addition, Moir was also selected to play for the 2010 AJHL South Division All-Star team last season.

Prior to his experience with the Canucks, Moir played with the Merritt Centennials of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL).
