
The top Canadian university teed off at the Canadian University/College Championship from May 30-June 3.
The four day competition, hosted by Golf Canada, is took place at The Royal Ashburn Golf Club in Ashburn, Ont. where nine Mount Royal Cougars were among the 155 male/female field.
The championship field was comprised of 20 men’s and 10 women’s teams as well as six individual competitors. The tournament got underway Monday, May 30th with a practice round and opening ceremonies at The Royal Ashburn Golf Club – a stunning 7021-yard course (from the black tees) and one of Canada’s top 50 public golf courses.
Round one went Tuesday, with round two slated for Wednesday. Following Thursday’s third round, the field was reduced to the top 10 men’s and the top five women’s teams, as well as any teams and individuals within 15 strokes of the lead.
