Two fans will get a chance to win

Looking to add a little extra cash to your pocket? If so, you’ll want to check out Friday night’s men’s hockey game versus the SAIT Trojans where we’ll be giving two lucky fans the chance to “Dash for Cash” to the tune of $500.

Adding to what is already going to be an exciting night of ACAC hockey, as the MRU Cougars and SAIT Trojans battle for top-spot in the conference and the number one seed headed into playoffs – will be highlighted by the Cougars' annual “Dash for Cash”.

Two lucky fans will be brought down to center ice after the second intermission to try and grab as much cash off the ice as they can in 50 seconds.

Whatever they can grab during that time - they’ll get to keep, it’s that simple!

Game time starts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb.11th at Flames Community Arenas.

The series will then shift to SAIT on Saturday Feb. 12th at 6:00 p.m. at SAIT Arena.

The Trojans currently hold a four point lead on the Cougars for top spot in the conference, meaning the Cougars will need to win both games to overtake their cross-town rivals.

A point earned by the SAIT in either game would clinch the division title for the Trojans.

The two teams have met twice this year, with each team winning on the visitor’s home ice as the Trojans won 3-1 back in November at Mount Royal, before the Cougars won at SAIT on December 3rd in a 4-3 barnburner.

Admission is always free for MRU students, staff and faculty so come out to Friday night’s game and get a chance to line your pockets with some cash!
