Wednesday Evening Cragging

A six week experience and skills based program that is suited to all ability levels. Participants will meet at Recreation and then carpool to a new outdoor venue each week within about a 45 minute drive of the city. ACMG certified instructors will set up the ropes and provide individualized instruction on movement, technical systems and equipment.

Prerequisite(s): 17+ years unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Red Rocks Nevada

Will return in fall 2012.

Spend 10 days climbing in sunny Red Rocks Nevada just outside of Las Vegas! This guided trip is suited to all ability levels and includes return transportation from Calgary to Nevada. ACMG certified instructors will provide individualized instruction on movement, technical systems and equipment and give students the opportunity to complete top rope, lead and multi-pitch climbs throughout the trip.

Course fees include:

return ground transportation from Calgary to Nevada
individualized instruction
all necessary climbing equipment
camping fees
state park user fees

Participants will be responsible for providing their own camping equipment and food.

Red Rocks is located on the outskirts of Las Vegas, NV and is one of the premiere climbing destinations in North America, offering world class bouldering, sport climbing and multi-pitch climbing. The close proximity of the climbing to Las Vegas also makes for easy access to groceries and other supplies.
