
All Red Cross first aid courses automatically include CPR Level C and Automatic External Defibrillation certification.
First aid and CPR courses require 100% attendance. If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will NOT be admitted to the course and no refund will be given.

Red Cross – Standard First Aid (SFA)
Course includes: all course components outlined in CPR Level C and Emergency First Aid with the addition of treatment for head and spine injuries; bone, muscle and joint injuries; wound care; sudden medical emergencies and environmental emergencies. This is a recognized course for workplace environments by Occupational Health and Safety.

Red Cross – Standard First Aid Recertification
All skills outlined in the Standard First Aid program will be reviewed and tested.
Prerequisite(s): a current SFA certification; candidates with certifications past three years will be required to attend the full course again.

Red Cross – Child Care First Aid (CCFA)
This course is required for Alberta child care providers (daycare and day home attendants).
Course content includes: all course components outlined in CPR Level C and Emergency First Aid with the addition of child related medical conditions, safety at home and child care facilities, specific childhood injuries and how to recognize abuse. All information from the SFA certification will be presented, the option of certifying in the SFA is available at the time of registration for an additional fee.

Red Cross – Child Care First Aid Recertification
All skills outlined in the Child Care First Aid program will be reviewed and tested.
Prerequisite(s): a current CCFA certification; candidates with certifications past three years will be required to attend the full course.

Red Cross – Emergency First Aid (EFA)
Course content includes: all course components outlined in CPR Level C with the addition of treatment for bleeding and shock, preventing disease transmission and secondary survey.

Group First Aid &/or CPR Classes
Red Cross First Aid or CPR classes can be organized for a group of six or more people. Courses can be held either at Mount Royal Recreation or we will come to you.
