NOTE: Some courses have withdrawal policies that supersede the general refund
policy (see specific course description for more details).

Seven days or more before a program start date:

• Refunds, less a $15 administration fee, will be processed.
• Transfers from one program to another, subject to availability, will be processed
with no administration fee.

Less than seven days before program start date:

• Refunds will only be processed due to medical reasons, relocation, or work
related leave. In all cases, documentation must be provided.
• Transfers from one program to another, subject to availability, will be processed
with a $5 fee.

Inherent Risk Statement & Waivers
By participating in Recreation programs and utilizing the facilities, you freely
and voluntarily assume the risks and hazards inherent to the program, facilities
and activities therein and acknowledge that you or your child, as a participant,
may suffer personal and potentially serious injury. Please ensure that you understand what these risks are and that you are prepared to accept this element of risk.

Liability waivers (or informed consent for minors) must be signed for all activities.

Cancellations
Recreation reserves the right to cancel courses due to low enrolment,
inclement weather or environmental hazards. In such cases, course fees
will be refunded in full.

NOTE: Some programs will run rain or shine.

GST
GST is NOT included in the registration fee. All programs for youth under 14 years and eligible certificate courses are GST exempt.

The personal information you provide when registering for Recreation
programs and services is collected under the Alberta Post-Secondary
Learning Act and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act to
administer programs and services, record attendance, inform you of other
related activities and for contact services and postrace/contest results.
Photos of events/programs may be taken and used for Recreation promotions/
publications. Your personal information is protected by the Freedom of Information and
Protection of Privacy Act and can be reviewed on request.
