Smart Cabinet
General instructions

There are 3 doors to the Smart Cabinet:

- The door on the front allows access to the VCR as well as remotes for the VCR and Projector (this is the only side with extra connections for instructors).

smart_cabinet_front

- The door on the side opens to allow access to the Dell Desktop PC.

smart_cabinet_side

- The door on the back (which does not need to be opened) allows access to the back (wires) of the speakers and VCR.

On the top of the cabinet are a monitor/LCD, a keyboard, mouse and a Desk Console (Master Control Panel):

    1. Check to see if the remote is working properly:
      • Press the PJ button in the middle of the VPU remote.
      • If a light appears on the remote, it is working.

      • If the remote still does not work, contact EA Tech support for new batteries.
    2. If the remote is working:
      • Point the NEC remote (dark grey) at the sides or back of the projector (the back sensor tends to work the best).
      • Be sure to step very close to the projector as the light in the classrooms interfere with the remote.
