Why choose an LLC?
A living learning community or LLC is a community in residence where students share a common theme or academic interest. You can expect to participate in activities and programs that are specifically planned for the community. LLCs are a great place to live, and an easy place to make friends, since you already have a common interest.
An important note about placement: Selection of an LLC on your application will place you in this community regardless of your other preference selections, so please note the type of units and the area of Residence for your chosen community. If you have roommate requests, the roommates also need to select the community for the roommate preference to be accommodated.
To be guaranteed placement in your community, please make sure you apply by June 1.
Not all options may be available each year as they are subject to interest.

Academic Living Learning Community
Located in our West townhouses, this community focuses on providing an enhanced environment for academic success. Programs may feature faculty and staff from college departments designed to enhance academic success, as well as extended quiet/study hours. Our West townhouses are all four bedroom units.
Aviation Living Learning Community
The Aviation community is for students who have been accepted to the Aviation program. Due to your unique and demanding schedule, this placement offers opportunities for students to study and work more closely together. Placement is in our renovated East townhouses where parking passes will be closer to units, and includes four bedroom and some two bedroom options.
The Business living learning program offers students in Business, or hoping to enter the Business program, the opportunity to network and study together. Students will benefit from the opportunity to interact with peers who have similar interests and goals. This living experience offers programs and opportunities that contribute to academic success and social interaction such as leadership and community service opportunities, as well as the possibility of Faculty in Residence for interaction with Faculty outside of the class.
Civic Engagement and Leadership Community
Explore your interests, passions, and what makes you a leader. Students can expect to participate in programs, service projects, training, and self-defined leadership experiences, to explore elements of leadership and define your own personal style. The Leadership Explorations Community is located on the top floor of Building B of the West Residence apartments. Only four bedroom apartments are available.
The Nursing living learning program offers students in Nursing the opportunity to network and study together. Students in this program take many classes together and will benefit from the opportunity to interact with peers who have similar interests and goals. This living experience offers programs and opportunities that contribute to academic success and social interaction such as leadership and community service opportunities. Placement is in our renovated East townhouses where parking passes will be closer to units, and includes four bedroom and some two bedroom options.
The second floor of A building offers a community experience focused on various aspects of health and wellness. Programs feature activities, outside speakers, and staff/faculty interactions that promote positive and balanced life-style choices. Students in this community are close to Recreation and EnCana Wellness. Only four bedroom apartments are available.
