  1. What are the hours of operation for Desk Services?
    September - April:
    Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    Closed weekends and holidays.

    May - August 15:
    Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
    Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

    August 15 - August 31:
    Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

    Our on-call staff can check you in outside of these hours. Please contact our office to make alternate arrangements for our on-call staff.

  1. When can I check-in?
    Check-in time is not guaranteed until 3 p.m. If you anticipate arriving before this time, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate the request.

    Check-out time is 11 a.m. unless prior arrangements have been made.

  1. How do I pay?
    We accept cash, debit card, VISA, MasterCard and travellers’ cheques. All rates are in Canadian funds and payment is only accepted in Canadian funds. No personal cheques please. An invoice can be arranged in advance.

  1. How can I be reached during my stay?
    Each unit has a shared phone and each bedroom is assigned its own private phone number, as well as voicemail. This is only available for guests who pay for kitchen and living room access.

  1. Do I have Internet access?
    Residence is 100% Wireless. The wireless network provided is Wireless-N technology. To connect to the Residence Wireless Network you will be provided a guest username and password upon check in.

  1. What is your cancellation policy?
    Cancellation is required in writing by fax or e-mail 24-hours prior to check-in. Otherwise, the credit card on file will be charged for the reservation. No refunds are available for cancellations within 24 hours of check-in.

  1. What is the smoking and alcohol policy for guests in residence?
    Smoking is PROHIBITED in all residence facilities and within three metres of all entrances and exits to the residence buildings. Furthermore, Mount Royal has a campus wide smoking policy. Smoking is only in designated areas of campus.

    Guests who are 18 years or older may consume alcohol only in the privacy of their suites. Alcohol is not permitted in hallways, common areas, porches, walkways or other Mount Royal property.

    Each apartment or townhouse is fully furnished including a full kitchen. Mount Royal also operates dining and catering services.
