MRU Policy

MRU Policy

On July 1, 2006, Mount Royal University became a smoke-free environment when the new Tobacco Use policy was enacted.

On October 26, 2015, the Tobacco Use policy was revised to the Smoking policy which directs where individuals can smoke and/or use tobacco and smoking related products (including e-cigarettes/vapes) in and around the University campus.  The City of Calgary Smoking Bylaw prohibits the use of e-cigarettes/vapes in public places where tobacco is currently prohibited.
