Mount Royal Career Services hosts an annual Volunteer Recruitment Fair which takes place in the fall (early October). The main focus is to provide organizations and agencies that rely on student volunteers the opportunity to recruit qualified volunteers from the Mount Royal student population.
Audience: Open to all Mount Royal students, graduates and staff.
Event Time: One day event from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

- What student audience attends the event?
Mount Royal currently offers over 70 degree, diploma and certificate programs. The fair is open to all current students and graduates from these programs. Program representation may include, but is not limited to:

- What are the costs for an organization to participate?
The Volunteer Recruitment Fair registration fee is $200 – $230 and includes:
- Registration for 2 company representatives
- Display area (1 table with a table cover, and 2 chairs)
- Continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments throughout the day
- On-campus promotion of your company/organization to students by Career Services
- Complimentary Online Company Profile and Web Link
Additional fees may apply to reserve the following items:
- Electrical connections and the participation of additional representatives.
Parking Fee (NOT included with registration):
- Parking will be available for exhibitors in designated paid lots. The cost for employers ranges from $5 – $12 per day. Payment can be made by coin or credit card upon entrance to the lot.

- Does Career Services provide additional marketing opportunities through the event?
For a period of one year (beginning from the date of the event), Career Services provides the following marketing opportunities to those organizations that participate in Volunteer Recruitment Fair.
Exhibitor List
This is a complimentary service (no fee). Organizations that attend Volunteer Recruitment Fair will have their company name included in the Volunteer Fair Exhibitor List.
- Promoted on the Career Service website and included in promotional displays throughout Mount Royal prior to and after the fair.
Online company profile and weblink
This is a complimentary service (no fee). Organizations that attend Volunteer Recruitment Fair have the opportunity to submit a company profile.
- Promoted on the Career Services website.
- Limited to 55 words, and will include: Company name, mandate, type(s) of volunteer opportunities, contact information for students and a link to your company's website.
- Students on our website can click directly into your company home page. Our website is accessed by thousands of current students and graduates annually.

- How can I get more information or register for the event?
Updated event information is available on the Career Services website, and Volunteer Recruitment Fair registration is open a few months prior to the event date.
If an event is several months away, in order to receive immediate information or get your organization's name added to the "Invitation List," you can:

Example:
To actively recruit student volunteers, and if so, the type and approximate number of volunteer positions available
To increase your organizations' profile and/or build program awareness, etc.
Note: As space is limited and registration fills quickly, organizations that are qualified by Career Services, register and pay by the deadline have first priority.
Your place on the Invitation List does not guarantee your company/ organization registration for the event. Career Services commits to providing you with up-to-date event details. Registration is based on a first-come first-served basis. We further reserve the right to screen registrations to ensure participants match the quotas set for the event, as well as, present a direct link to the event, Mount Royal programs, and student learning/employment priorities.
