About Environmental Health and Safety

The Environmental Health and Safety team at Mount Royal University plays a critical role in the prevention of workplace incidents by supporting a progressive health and safety community culture through individual education and awareness. This is accomplished through University-wide EH&S policy and procedure implementation, workplace hazard assessment, accident prevention education and health and safety training for employees, contractors, students and volunteers, in accordance with health and safety legislation and best practices.

The ultimate goal of the EH&S team is to make sure everyone goes home safe and healthy every day.

Working with EH&S

1. Submit a Frontline Request

Frontline allows you to fill out your own Health & Safety work requests online, check to see if similar requests have been submitted (Search & Manage) and track your request as it progresses through our system. It is the preferred methods of receiving work requests and results in the fastest service!

Please use complete and specific detail when filling out a request

2. Report an Incident

In the event of an incident/accident, please use Intelex, found on MyMRU.ca, to complete an incident/accident report. Ensure to use complete and specific details when filling out the report.

Report all incidents to your Supervisor.

3. Request Additional Guidance / Safety Training

If you have a complex and/or unique matter or require additional guidance on all matters EH&S, including submitting a Frontline request, our EH&S team is here for you.
