The Faculty of Communication Studies invites applications for a tenure-track position in Information Design which will commence August 15, 2013 subject budget approval.
The Faculty offers a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Communication with majors in Information Design, Journalism and Public Relations.

The successful applicant will be an information designer able to teach in at least two of the following areas: information design, multimedia and web-based applications, information architecture, and research methods. Visual communication, principles of graphics and design, and technical communication are other possible areas for teaching responsibilities.
New faculty are hired into one of two work patterns. The teaching/scholarship/service pattern has a focus on teaching with the requirement that the faculty member be involved in a research program as well as service to the Mount Royal community. The teaching /service pattern has a focus on teaching and service only. There is an option to change work patterns after tenure.
Qualifications include at a minimum, a Masters Degree in a related discipline and relevant teaching experience. Previous successful teaching experience in the subject areas will be considered as asset. Candidates may wish to provide, as part of their application, previous student evaluation in support of their candidacy.
A complete dossier including curriculum vitae, three (3) letters of reference and evidence of teaching excellence should be included.
