Description: The Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering invites applications for an instructor to teach ENGR 1205 Engineering Statics to first-year engineering students in the spring term of 2013, pending budgetary approval, and demand. The University is seeking candidates with a focus on teaching and learning.
 
Duties: The class will have approximately 30 students enrolled. In the regular semester, the course typically consists of a 3-hour lecture and 1.5-hour tutorial each week, which will be compressed during the spring semester. Design and marking of regular assignments, at least one midterm and a final exam will be required. Examples of assessments from previous semesters will be available as resources.

R 8:00 – 10:50 AM
 
Qualifications: Instructors are expected to be knowledgeable and proficient in engineering mechanics. A minimum of a master’s degree is required, preferably in engineering. Previous experience in teaching engineering is desirable.
