Description: This position’s primary responsibilities are the development, maintenance, and support of the University’s administrative systems. Mount Royal utilizes the SunGardhe Banner suite of software for their ERP solution. The position will support business functions for a number of University areas including Student Administration, Finance, Human Resources and Payroll, Alumni Relations, Library etc… The incumbent must be able to deal with tight deadlines and understand the critical nature of the processes and projects they are dealing with. The successful incumbent will be client focused, service focused, and results oriented. Due to the nature of the position we are looking for an incumbent that can adapt to changes in priorities quickly and easily.
 
Duties: • Enhance and support the functionality of Banner ERP administrative system this includes modifying third party software, developing additional functionality and report development to assist our clients in meeting their business objectives this includes enhancements to the on-line experience for our clients
• Develop and support smaller systems to support administrative business requirements of our clients
• Modify system functionality
• Create interfaces to and from Banner to external systems
• Business analysis, design specifications, project management and development of technical documentation
 
Qualifications: • Post secondary education with an emphasis in programming
• Minimum Five years relevant experience
• Experience supporting 3rd party systems
• Possess technical expertise in Oracle 10g database and utilities and the Oracle Developer 10g (forms and reports), PL*SQL, C, Linux and SUNGARD HE Banner suite of software
• Java and XML knowledge and experience would be an asset
• Strong technical and business analysis skills
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently
• Able to multi-task initiatives and serve multiple client groups at the same time
• Excellent interpersonal abilities, strong team skills and ability to independently handle multiple and concurrent priorities
 
Salary: $2,766.58 - $2,993.08 semi-monthly
