Description: Reporting to the Manager, Records and Registrarial Services ('Manager'), the Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting project management within the Registrar's Office by analyzing business processes in order to ensure data integrity, providing relevant reports and developing new and/or maintaining existing communication plans. In addition, the position provides support for the Manager by coordinating a schedule for casual and specialist employees, maintaining operational timelines for various positions in the Registrar's Office (RO). In collaboration with area Coordinators and in consultation with the Manager, the position is also involved in the development of training sessions for staff. The Operations Analyst is expected to build and maintain strong relationships with Managers, Coordinators, staff within the Registrar's Office and across Enrolment Services (ES) and faculty.
 
Duties: • Mapping out current and/or proposed business processes.
• Assist in creating specification documents for new initiatives.
• Develop testing protocols in collaboration with RO staff.
• Spot-checking for data integrity regularly throughout each semester.
• Coordinate projects in consultation with Manager.
• Monitor existing communication campaigns for effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate website content for the Office of the Registrar in consultation with Coordinators and/or Manager.
• Develop criteria for new communication campaigns in consultation with Manager.
• Maintain and create new user documentation in collaboration with end user(s) as required.
• Maintain accurate student communication in SIS (Banner Self Service Web).
• Using the student life cycle, track the progression of students for a variety of purposes.
• Quarterly review of processes and spot-checking for data integrity with existing processes.
• Develop training sessions for full-time and casual staff in consultation with the Manager.
 
Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in a university environment is preferred
• Background in project management
• Technical writing and/or communications experience
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office
• Experience with SIS systems an asset
• Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
