Description: The Faculty of Communication Studies requires an accomplished production professional to act as head of Video Production with a start date of September 1, 2013. Reporting to the Dean, Faculty of Communication Studies, the Head of Video Production is responsible for serving the needs of students and faculty in the broadcasting and journalism courses.
 
Duties: The successful candidate will have an extensive background in television with a minimum of seven years experience and a proven track record on the technical side of both analog and digital production including knowledge and understanding of production and post-production facility systems flow. In addition, experience in dealing with suppliers of broadcast technology products and equipment will be considered an asset.

The Head of Video Production will provide support to Program Chairs and the Dean in the areas of equipment acquisition and organization of broadcast facilities as well as trouble-shooting issues with regard to studios and other facilities. The individual in this position will demonstrate equipment use and care to students within the Faculty of Communication Studies (FCS) and will act as production manager on a variety of FCS productions both in live and taped formats.
 
Qualifications: Candidates must, at a minimum, hold a diploma in Broadcasting from a recognized institution.
 
Salary: $2,123.08 - $2,297.13 semi-monthly
