This position provides support to the Advanced
Studies in Critical Care Nursing program (Critical
Care and Emergency Streams) within the School of
Nursing and Midwifery primarily working with the
distance education program.
 
Duties: • Complete tasks associated with distance
delivery of post-basic certificate programs
• Upload course materials into main ACCN
Blackboard site
• Provide information for prospective
applicants
• Act as point of contact for students
related to course access and materials and
Registrar’s office
• Assemble, verify and ensure requirements
for courses and programs are complete
• Liaise with Bookstore and printing
services.
• Provide instructor assistance with exam
preparation where appropriate
• Provide program and instructor support
including entering student clinical requests into
HSPNET, collecting prerequisite documentation and
obtaining student consent, maintaining course
lists, sending course outlines.
• Collect pre-practice requirement
documentation for clinical students
• Work with appropriate MRU staff to
coordinate student services / processes for
application, admission, registration, program
completion and graduation
• Provide support for community advisory
committees for assigned programs
• Prepare Banner reports, adding/deleting
programs/courses
• Assist and coordinate with marketing
initiatives
• Maintain School of Nursing and Midwifery
website
• Communicate with MRU academic calendar
staff regarding non-academic revisions
• Work with DCU scheduling for schedule of
classes
• Maintain eCampus connections
 
Qualifications: • Relevant post secondary education
qualifications (diploma required, degree
preferred) plus one to two years related
experience
• Previous experience in a post-secondary
setting and familiarity with healthcare
terminology an asset
• Demonstrated ability to work independently
and demonstrate initiative, problem solving and
judgment in setting priorities for workload and
time management
• Thoroughness, accuracy and attention to
detail
• Strong team, interpersonal and
communications skills with the ability to interact
with students, faculty and support staff
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Suite
• Current working knowledge of Blackboard,
Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop,
Internet web editing e.g. Banner and HSPNET a
definite asset
• Current knowledge of academic policy and
registration procedures an asset
 
Salary: $1,962.42 semi-monthly
