Mount Royal University’s Faculty of Continuing Education is looking for enthusiastic industry professionals who are interested in sharing their knowledge, passion and expertise with other adults. As a part-time instructor, you will also have the opportunity to network with others who share your interests while gaining valuable experience as a subject expert in your field.
Presently, we invite applications for qualified photographers to teach face-to-face courses in the Photography Certificate of Completion program. Instructors are contracted on a per course basis and are required to teach during set dates. Teaching opportunities are available in each of the following subject areas: Foundations of Photography, Level 1 Foundations of Photography, Level 2 Portrait Photography Close-Up Photography Black & White Photography NOTE: In your application, please clearly specify the course(s) you are applying for. | Duties: |
• Instruction: syllabus development, lesson preparation, course delivery, marking
• Administration: participate in annual instructor meeting and individual meetings with Program Coordinator as required. Depending on geographic address of the instructor telephone participation in meetings can be accommodated. |
| Qualifications: |
- Minimum five to eight years experience in photography
- Excellent communication skills - Professionalism - Strong organizational and time management skills - Online teaching experience using Blackboard (or similar online learning platform) is an asset |
