Description: Mount Royal’s Faculty of Continuing Education & Extension is looking for an enthusiastic professional who is interested in developing curriculum for the Massage Therapy Program.

Course Description:
This course will build on the knowledge gained from Human Anatomy and Human Physiology. Various systems in the body will be explored in greater depth with relevance to massage therapy. Students will integrate knowledge from other courses to discuss how the systems of the body are affected by various factors.
 
Duties: Key Duties include:
 Curriculum Review & Development:
Develop curriculum to meet program requirements and current industry standards. Materials may include:
- Power points
- Lecture notes / lesson plans
- Assignments with rubrics
- Discussion questions
- Learning resources (articles, relevant journals, websites)
- Assessments with answer keys
- Course schedule
- Textbook(s) (required & optional)
- Copyright
Meetings: Be available for and attend all scheduled meetings.
Work Collaboratively: Share information and collaborate with other curriculum developers to ensure consistent messaging between courses.
 
Qualifications:  Massage Therapist with three to five years’ related professional experience strongly recommended
 Post-secondary degree(s) or designation(s) in a related field is preferred.
 Teaching experience in an adult education environment is highly desirable.
 Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
 Strong organizational and time management skills.
 Self-motivated and self-directed.
