Description:

Mount Royal University Continuing Education is looking for enthusiastic business professionals interested in sharing their passion and expertise with other adults as a part-time instructor. We invite applications for qualified instructors to teach courses in the Business Analysis Extension Certificate programs. Instructors are contracted on a per course basis, typically 7 to 21 instructional hours per course. 

 
Duties:

We seek to hire instructors with expertise and real world experience in one or more of the following subject areas:

  • Business analysis and enterprise analysis
  • Gathering, documenting and managing requirements
  • Process mapping and workflow modelling
  • Solution analysis
  • Solution validation and assessment
  • Business case development, feasibility analysis and opportunity evaluation

As an IIBA Endorsed Education Provider, candidates should be familiar with the mission, recognized practices and resources of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®), including the current BABOK® Guide. 

 
Qualifications:

At a minimum, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a business analyst with knowledge of the International Institute of Business Analysis’s (IIBA) Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®), and demonstrated proficiency in a minimum of three knowledge areas.
  • A degree in a related discipline (e.g., business administration, information systems, computer science, etc.). A Masters degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, communication skills
  • Related professional degree(s) or designation(s) in business analysis or business process management is an asset (e.g. CCBA®, CBAP®, CBPP®, etc.).
  • Teaching or training experience in a corporate, adult education or organizational/business setting is an asset.
  • Certification in other related disciplines, including business process management, quality management, change management, project management, lean, six sigma, is an asset.
  • Experience using classroom-based technology to enhance student learning is an asset.
