The Certified Internal Auditor® (CIA®) is the standard by which internal audit professionals demonstrate their knowledge and competence in the areas of governance, risk and control. The course is delivered in a blended learning format of printed modules and interactive online learning tools and resources, augmented by 60 hours of expert classroom instruction. You also have the option to register for the specific exam preparation parts of your choice. This review program is aligned with the 2009 International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) to ensure candidates are well-prepared for the CIA exam.

About the CIA Exam and Exam Eligibility
The internal audit function is an effective assurance and consulting function designed to evaluate and improve effective risk management, control and governance processes. To earn the CIA designation, candidates must meet predefined criteria. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited college-level institution. Full-time undergraduate students in their senior year may sit for the exam. Professionals holding qualified certifications may receive professional recognition credit for Part 4 of the CIA exam. Prepare for The IIA's CIA Exam Part 1. Learn the internal auditor’s role in organizational governance, internal control and risk management. Topics include: compliance with the IIA's Attribute Standards, risk and control knowledge elements, establishing a risk-based plan to determine priorities of the internal audit activity, and the nature of internal audit work in risk management, control and governance.
