In order to maximize flexibility for students, the courses are not "live" (that is, you are not required to login to the course at a particular time). However, each week you are required to review specific modules of the course and complete required activities and assignments. These can be individual activities/assignments submitted to the instructor directly, or discussion board activities where you answer and discuss a series of questions with other students in the course via a message forum. Though the class is open 24/7 and you can work at your own pace between deadlines, you will need to work through the course material at a similar pace to other students.
Online courses are rich, multimedia experiences that may include course manuals, assignments, recorded instructor videos, discussion boards, animation, messenger applications and more.
If you are new to online learning, we suggest you take our free Online Course Tutorial to become familiar with the learning environment.
