The Advanced Human Resource Management Certificate addresses issues facing seasoned human resource (HR) professionals and mid-level managers who want to understand the function of HR within their organization. This advanced certificate is designed to examine areas that focus on relevant HR management issues such as strategic thinking, business planning, leadership and facilitating organization change initiatives as they relate to human resources. Program Note - The courses in the Advanced Human Resource Management Certificate are offered in a blended delivery format, combining online training and classroom learning to meet the needs of busy HR professionals and mid-level managers.

Required Textbooks - The HR Scorecard: Linking People, Strategy, and Performance by Brian E. Belkin, approx. $40+GST, and Human Resource Champions by Dave Ulrich, approx. $45+GST, at the BookStore.

Earning Your Certificate - Complete one required course and choose two of three optional courses listed in the schedule above (90 hours). The program may be completed within one semester or extended over three years. You may also register in individual courses provided you meet prerequisites.

Career Outlook - The Advanced Human Resource Management Certificate has been designed for human resource professionals with five or more years of HR experience, mid-level managers who work directly with the HR department and graduates of Mount Royal’s Human Resource Management Certificate.
