Instructor Biographies

Scott McLean
Scott McLean is an educator and social/justice service consultant. As a registered and forensic social worker, Scott completes assessments for family and youth court clients. He teaches part-time at Mount Royal University and is an Adjunct Professor at City University of Seattle. Mr. McLean and his family (wife and four children) lived in Kenya for three years (2005-2008) where he and Brenda worked as teachers at a local school. He holds a master's degree in Child and Youth Studies and is completing his PhD (psychology) from Arizona.


Michael Watts, MSW, RSW
Michael has been teaching at Mount Royal University for the past eight years. Michael holds a master's degree in Clinical Social Work and is trained as a therapist. Michael's areas of expertise include work with at-risk youth, family work, group work, mental health and psychosocial issues related to adolescents living with Type 1 diabetes. Michael is a proud graduate of the Child and Youth Care Counsellor Diploma program at MRU.
