Mount Royal University's Faculty of Continuing Education and Extension is pleased to offer the online Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) in association with the IFSE Institute. IFSE Institute is wholly owned by the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC). This comprehensive pre-licensing program prepares you to successfully challenge the LLQP examination leading to qualification for certification as a licensed Life Insurance Agent.
The LLQP is a practical course based on the real-life experience of life insurance practitioners. Topics include individual life insurance, disability, accident and sickness products; group insurance; underwriting and claims; taxation; retirement; risk management; and professional standards.
Earning Your License - Requirements
You have one year to complete this course and pass the exam. The one-year enrollment period is effective for a period of 12 months from the date on which you register into the course online.
You are entitled to 3 exam attempts per enrollment. Your first exam attempt is included in the course fee. Any subsequent exam scheduling, re-scheduling or re-writes are subject to the applicable fees as detailed at ifse.ca. IFSE must receive an exam scheduling request at least 10 calendar days prior (and not including) the selected examination date. You may book your exam online at ifse.ca.
Please note that all other terms and conditions stated on the IFSE website will apply.
You must successfully complete IFSE's certification exam (administered by IFSE), prior to applying to write the final provincial licensing exam administered by the Alberta Insurance Council.
