Mount Royal University Continuing Education is pleased to offer in-class instruction of the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) in partnership with the IFSE Institute. IFSE Institute is wholly owned by the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC). This comprehensive pre-licensing program prepares you to successfully challenge the LLQP examination leading to qualification for certification as a licensed Life Insurance Agent.
The LLQP is a practical course based on the real-life experience of life insurance practitioners. Topics include individual life insurance, disability, accident and sickness products; group insurance; underwriting and claims; taxation; retirement; risk management; and professional standards. As the LLQP is an intensive program of study, you should expect to spend at least the equivalent number of classroom hours in self-study.
Earning Your License
You must successfully complete the IFSE Institute's certification exam prior to applying to write the final provincial licensing exam administered by the Alberta Insurance Council. Course fee includes the IFSE Institute exam and certificate.
Note: You must have access to the Internet, as course material is provided online.
