Earning Your Certificate of Completion
Complete the three required courses (57 hours) with a minimum grade of 70% in each course.

Program Notes
Students work at their own pace. There are no due dates but course work must be completed by the last day of the course. All assessements are done online. An instructor is available via e-mail and phone for questions.

Requirements
Access to a computer with an Internet connection is required. Textbook for all courses: Understanding Medical Terminology, approx. $39+GST at the BookStore.

Understanding Medical Terminology
Explore the origins, philosophy and rationale behind anatomical terms. By discovering the prefixes, suffixes, combining vowels and word roots from which most medical terms are derived, you can decipher new terms correctly. No experience required.

Increase your general knowledge of medical terminology to individual body systems. Medical terms, diseases, tests, treatments, and procedures specific to individual body systems are introduced using the unique capabilities of multimedia.

Advanced Medical Terminology
This advanced medical terminology online course focuses on accurate spelling and pronunciation of medical words, as well as identification and uses of abbreviations, symbols, pharmacological and medical terms for recording patient care.
