Advanced Reiki Training

The practice of the healing art of Reiki continues to grow in popularity and acceptance at hospitals and wellness centres. Discovered over a century ago by Mikao Usui and passed down from master teacher to student, Reiki’s claim of positive, healing powers are supported by numerous scientific research studies. At MRU we seek to maintain and honour the traditional values of Usui Reiki.

Reiki is an energy-based practice. Practitioners channel energy through their hands to the recipient.

Required Courses

First Degree Reiki
Explore the history of Reiki, the energy system and the nature of Reiki energy, the Reiki Code of Ethics and the five principles or precepts. Acquire knowledge of the Reiki hand positions and learn to provide a session for yourself or others through practical application. First Degree Reiki is focused on physical healing. No experience required.

Second Degree Reiki
The focus of Second Degree Reiki is on mental and emotional healing. Learn about the Reiki symbols and distance sessions. Discuss in depth how to clear unwanted habits, empower personal goals and manifest permanent change.
Prerequisite: Mount Royal First Degree Reiki

Third Degree Reiki/ Master
The final level of Reiki training is focused on spiritual healing. Acquire skills to teach Reiki to others. Develop your practice of Reiki through meditation techniques and learn the benefits of living a spirit-based life.
Prerequisites: Mount Royal First Degree Reiki and Mount Royal Second Degree Reiki

Advanced Reiki Training

Karuna Reiki® I and II
Karuna Reiki® can be defined as Reiki of campassion. It was developed by William Rand, well-known Reiki guru and founder of the International Centre for Reiki Training. Karuna Reiki® courses are for Usui Reiki Masters lookinf for additional techniques to promote healing. Receive eight treatment symbols and one attunement.
Prerequisite: Usui Reiki III/ Master or Mount Royal Third Degree Reiki
