NEW! The Shiatsu Therapy program is now an accredited Discipline through the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC).
Become a Certified Shiatsu Practitioner. Shiatsu therapy is a non-invasive manual therapy that stimulates the body’s inherent ability to heal itself. The therapy involves the systematic application of pressure to different points on the soft tissues of the body.
Shiatsu therapy treatments help relieve stress and pain as well as improve muscle, organ and joint function. Be able to use and practise each technique as it is learned and gain a comprehensive understanding of the body’s energy meridians.
Shiatsu therapy is a highly respected form of physical therapy in Japan that is now becoming well known internationally. It utilizes acupressure points in addition to a wider range of hands-on techniques for an effective and inclusive form of somatic therapy.
Earning Your Extension Certificate
Complete the seven courses (390 hours). Levels 1-6 must be taken in sequence. Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology may be taken at any time. Upon completion you will be accredited to practise as a Certified Shiatsu Practitioner.
