We encourage you to explore the unique holistic approach that our program has to the education of designers who thoughtfully create well-designed spaces that consider the human experience while meeting functional needs.
Student work is displayed throughout the academic year in the third floor interior design studio hall of the main campus building as well as in various venues on and off campus.Design Intervention - Novemberspace + experience studio
In groups of five, students design and construct a conceptual spatial experience for public exploration/engagement on campus. Typically on display for public walk-through during the second last week of November.Refuge – February inhabitation studio
Students individually design a temporary emergency shelter that addresses the needs of a single user and is informed by the spatial requirements of the human body in specific activities — sit │ stand │ sleep
Primarily It's a Party – March 22, 2018Primarily returns this year for one last hurrah and, as always, all proceeds from the night will go directly to scholarships and initiatives for students of MRU's Bachelor of Interior Design degree. Tickets for this event being held at Hudson, located on the sixth floor of Hudson's Bay's heritage building, will be available through Eventbrite.
Grad Show - To be Determined, 2019
The senior interior design students invite industry employers, suppliers, friends and family to a late afternoon │ early evening presentation of their final individual design projects of a multi-use 10,000 – 12,000 square foot space.
