Miriam Carey came to Mount Royal in 2001. She received her doctorate, which compared petroleum policies in Canada, Britain and Norway, from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland in 1988. She teaches Introductory Government and Politics (PLSC 1101), Communities and Societies (GNED 1304) and a variety of Policy Studies courses including Integrative Professional Practice (POST 5020). Her research interests include health policy, municipal government and pedagogy relating to intentional learning.
