Ivan Grabovac joined the English Department in 2009. His research focuses on nineteenth- and early twentieth-century American literature and culture in relation to the history and theories of sexuality, race, and the environment. In addition to writing and speaking at conferences, he is helping to organize an environmental conference at Mount Royal, which will convene participants from Canada and beyond. One of the goals of his teaching is to link students to such global networks of scholars and writers by giving them the tools they need not only to understand, but also join in these conversations.
