Karen Manarin teaches courses in General Education and English. She often teaches GNED 1404: Writing about Images, ENGL 2211: Literature from Restoration to the Present, and ENGL 3340 and 3341: Romantic Literature. She has also taught different versions of ENGL 4443 including focusing on Romantic life-writing and on the gothic novel. She is interested in how undergraduate students read and write about texts; she helps students develop the skills needed for original research. She publishes studies in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
